ABOUT
The wavy Jefferson Scrap Scarf uses a different color of yarn for each row to create this colorful granny stitch scarf. You will need approximately 40 yds (37 m) of worsted weight yarn per row, so take a look at your stash and see what scraps you can use up!
MATERIALS
Yarn: Various colors of worsted weight, medium, category #4 yarn (sample shown uses 16 colors for 16 rows)
Sample shown uses the following Lion Brand yarns: Touch of Alpaca, Basic Stitch, Wool-Ease, Vanna’s Choice, and Color Theory
Yardage Required: 695 yds (636 m) total
- You will need 40 yds (37 m) each of 16 different worsted weight yarns (1 yarn for each row).
- If adjusting scarf width, adjust by 40 yds (37 m) for each row.
- You will need 55 (50 m) of one color for the fringe.
Hook: Size U.S. 7 (4.5 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge
Notions: Tapestry needle, an object measuring approximately 6” (15 cm) in length to wrap yarn around to create fringe (such as your phone, a book, a piece of cardboard, etc.)
