ABOUT
Worked seamlessly from the top down, the Cashew Cardigan is a light raglan cardigan with a short-row collar that can be converted to an optional button band.
MATERIALS
Yarn: Sport/light DK—Lion Brand Superwash Merino in Hemp; tutorial photos shown in Elm
- 100% Extra Fine Merino Wool
- 306 yds (280 m) per 3.5 oz (100 g) skein

Yardage Required: 5 (5, 6, 7, 8) (9, 10, 11, 11) skeins for sizes XS (S, M, L, XL) (2X, 3X, 4X, 5X), or
- 1275 (1425, 1600, 1850, 2150) (2450, 2750, 3050, 3250) yds
- 1165 (1303, 1463, 1691, 1965) (2239, 2514, 2788, 2971) m
If substituting Lion Brand Superwash Merino, choose any similar category #3, light, DK weight yarn or category #2, sport weight yarn that matches gauge. Note that this yarn is labeled a category #3, light weight yarn but you will likely be able to match gauge with many category #2, sport weight yarns as well. Always swatch before beginning to ensure you are happy with the resulting fabric.
Hook: Size U.S. F/5 (3.75 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge
Notions: Tapestry needle, several locking stitch markers, 4-5 buttons measuring 0.75”/2 cm (optional – not shown in sample photos), sewing needle and matching thread for sewing buttons onto your cardigan (optional)
