GAUGE
4 x 4 ” (10 x 10 cm) = the horizontal distance between each peak and valley, and 4.25 rows when measuring vertically along a peak or a valley, measured in chevron stitch
See full stitch chart on page 5. Note that this stitch chart perfectly matches the following gauge swatch instructions.
For Swatch:
Ch 59.

Block and dry your swatch the same way you would your finished blanket. Measure across the innermost 4” (10 cm) of your swatch (not the edge stitches) to get the most accurate measurement.
PATTERN NOTES
Skill Level: Easy
Stitch Counts: Stitch counts are listed after each row.
Reversible: There is no right side or wrong side to this fabric.
Turning Chain: The turning chain (ch-3) counts as the first double crochet of each row.
Construction: This blanket is worked widthwise until achieving your desired length.
Changing Colors: When changing colors, work the last stitch of the row with the old color, but do not work the final yarn-over to close the stitch. Work this yarn-over with the new color. Then cut the old color, leaving a tail long enough for you to weave in later, and continue crocheting in your new color.
Stripes: There are 7 stripes using Color A and 6 stripes using Color B.
[ ] – When you see instructions within these square brackets: Repeat the sequence inside the brackets as many times as indicated immediately following the closing bracket.
Pattern Multiple: The pattern multiple for this blanket is 28+3. Adjust the width of your blanket by adding or subtracting 28 stitches to the beginning chain count. Note that modifying the dimensions will change the total amount of yardage required.
