PATTERN NOTES

Skill Level: Easy

Stitch Counts: Stitch counts are listed after each row/round. If no stitch count is provided, there has been no change since the previous row/round.

Right Side / Wrong Side: The right side of the bag is the side with the visible ridge around the perimeter of the base (see photo below). The right side will face you as you crochet the handles and all even-numbered rounds on the body of your bag.

Yarn Held Double: To increase strength and durability, this entire bag is worked with yarn held double, meaning two strands of yarn are held together and used as if they were one. At no point should you ever be crocheting with just one strand unless you have substituted a thicker yarn in place of Lion Brand Rewind.

Turning Chain: The turning chain does not count as a stitch anywhere in this pattern.

Construction: To begin this bag, you will crochet a long rectangle for the base. You will crochet around the perimeter of this rectangle, working joined, turned rounds. Next, you will divide your round into two sections, working back and forth for two symmetrical sides. Lastly, you will crochet the handles around the top edge of your bag.
