Today I'm coming at ya with a new pattern, the Alexander Beanie, using Lion Brand Jeans Yarn. If you haven't heard of this yarn, it's a newer yarn made of 100% acrylic and it's so soft. Like, surprisingly soft. I found this yarn at my local Michael's. There are 7 denim-inspired colours available ranging from blues to greys (and one camel-coloured rust-brown shade called "topstitch" that I reeeally love).
For this hat, I used "vintage", which is a super pretty medium grey.
This hat is constructed bottom-up and in the round. First, ribbing is created, and it's then folded in half to create the double brim.
I wanted to create a simple, 1-colour hat with this yarn because it's just so dang pretty. It's got a beautiful heathered look, and I really wanted to give the yarn the spotlight.
